Melting Pot Social - Asheville

They had a table reserved and had no will for us, but sat other people. the burger looked very forged to me, it reminded me of the burgers they would get in school. the Monterey cheese was amazing and the tomato bisque soup was decent. I also liked the golden ticket chocolate fondue, but I didn't like that they gave me fruity pebble rice crispy instead of regular. my friends found the max and the cheese decent and they liked the truthahnclub. also the friars are decent, but the roasted potato are better in my opinion. the girl at the door was rude, but unlike her all the others was good. they have bbq, but it is korean bbq on the ribs not my favorites.

First let me start with our server. she was excellent (which I could remember names, red hair and glasses). Unfortunately, that was the highlight. we had a reservation of 7:15 clock and arrived at 7:10. we were told: "we see their reservation, but it can be all our tables are full. Why book? that was the same thing that was told people before and after us. we ordered three separate courses. fondue, salat and main course. after about 15 minutes our main courses are waiting. shortly after the knowledge of the server came out our fondue. 15 minutes later our server brought the salat. very disappointing! No one wants to eat back. the fondue course was bland. kartoffeln were not hot, brokkoli was rubbery and there were about 6 tortilla chips. flatbread was tasty and the hamburger was better than average. the salate was best missing. overall we were unimpressed and asheville has much better options.

Great alternative to the old model of fondue restaurants where everyone sits in a circle and shares a great pot in the middle! good options, choices and delicious dishes. portioning might be a bit bigger, as with meat options more than just a small spits could be, but overall a solid restaurant and will return again!

This is a pleasant surprise to enjoy in asheville. eating is pretty good and cheap. a great place to enjoy fondue in a decent portion size.

We had a great experience on NYE! Devon was an incredible server. She made our experience very personal while being professional. We will return during our next trip to Asheville!
