The food and atmosphere were perfect. All of the food was fresh and seemed homemade. My son absolutely Loved the chicken sandwich and said it was perhaps the best he’s ever had. The catfish was fantastic, as was the collard greens. The BBQ sampler with the brisket and pulled pork were also first rate. We also loved the atmosphere — big open space with a ton of natural light that still felt intimate — and the service was also first rate.

When I saw that Buxton Hall had hushpuppies on the appetizer menu for 7 and not a side, I began to wonder if this was a tourist trap, instead of a staple in the BBQ community.
