Zaxby's - Ashburn

The service at this restaurant was impressive, so I have to commend them for that. Unfortunately, the food left a lot to be desired. The chicken tasted oddly like breakfast sausage—so unappetizing! The Zaxby sauce wasn’t good either, and the fried pickles were dry and overcooked. The only redeeming aspect were the fries; they were tasty, especially with the seasoning, though I recommend asking for extra as they barely put any on. The Dr. Pepper was fantastic—probably the best I’ve ever had! Overall, this place is definitely overrated for the quality of food served.

I waited for about five minutes as the staff chatted among themselves before one of them finally asked if I needed assistance. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich with cheese, no tomato, but the girl didn’t seem to understand and asked me twice what I meant by fried chicken sandwich. I told her to familiarize herself with the menu. After 15 minutes of my lunch break had passed with still no food, I decided to leave.

I 've been to many Zaxby 's, it 's one of my favorite fast food options. Stopped here on New Year 's Day, at noon, on my drive home from Florida. The drive-thru line was somewhat long and I needed a break so parked and went inside. There were a few people in line inside as well, and only one clerk running the registers and passing out orders. There were at least four people cooking and it looked like two running the drive-through. I eventually placed my simplest ever order then ran to the restroom. Not surprisingly there was a line there too. When I came back and I still had to wait a bit for my 1 Nibbler. Took it to go. It wasn 't quite as tasty as usual, but it was OK. She did give me several napkins which was nice. They have a free-style coke machine.

I stopped in here on the way home from visiting family in Atlanta. This is the first time I have been to this location, but I have visited other locations. I usually order the chicken fingers meal. On this visit, I decided to order the new Chipotle sandwich that Zaxby's is promoting. The young ladies working the counter were friendly and helpful. As for the kitchen, there were several people working, but my order took nearly fifteen minutes. The Chipotle sandwich was good and hot, as well as the French fries. But the side of French fries was rather on the small side. The dining room is kept clean, but the men's (roosters) bathroom was out of toilet paper. And the toilet was backed up as well. As I was getting ready to leave, there were several people standing around waiting for their order. I understand that it was busy, being dinnertime, but the space in the entrance/counter area is small and cramp. Which makes it difficult to get a refill of your beverage or for patrons entering or leaving. As I was leaving, I held the door open for a young mother leaving behind me. Carrying her little girl in her arms, she thanked me and made her way to the parking lot while her daughter smiled and waved to me as I made my way to the car. After a bad start to my trip back home, that really made my day. As for this Zaxby's, the food was good. But the wait time for meals ordered needs improvement. The dining area is kept clean, but the bathrooms need to be better maintained. At least I did not have a guy panhandling me for money at the counter like another Zaxby's I visited in south Georgia.

100/10 business here! I had the BEST SERVICE FROM Markevius B but especially from the lady running the drive thru window. Best customer service I've ever had at any Zaxby's and traveling from Florida to Ashburn it was so refreshing to get that great of service! Thank y'all so much you have no idea how much your kindness is during a stressful travel across country! Florida to Washington and our first stop was a success
