They offer both indoor and outdoor dining with tables spaced out reasonably well. Ordering is done through a QR code system, which is becoming more common and cuts down on interactions with staff. I chose the seared Barramundi with zucchini strings, sweet capsicum slivers, and small pieces of potato, paired with a beer. The dish was absolutely delicious and the staff was very attentive. This refurbishment brings a touch of class to the suburbs.
The employees seem to enjoy chatting with each other rather than attending to customers. The pizza is decent, but the service is lacking. If you'd like more than one drink, be sure to order two at a time.
My friends and I have been frequenting The Royal at Nundah for the past 6 years for casual get-togethers and dinners. Our experience last night was particularly delightful, thanks to our attentive server, Amarita. She consistently checked on us, making sure we had everything we needed, allowing us to enjoy our evening without any interruptions. The food at The Royal never fails to impress with its delicious Italian dishes. Additionally, the cocktails are reasonably priced, making the overall dining experience even more enjoyable.
I have had dinner on the balcony 5 or 6 times over the last 2 weeks accompanied with my pup with no hassles along with other customers with small dogs also. Today 16th JULY I'm told to leave as dogs are not allowed on the balcony??? I asked for the manager and suggest she speak with her boss, her reply was I am the boss. Thought she would have been the manager, The BOSS whoever that may be needs to work out what the rule is so us pup owners can take our bossiness else where and not be spoken to the way I was today. Staff through the week give a far better atmosphere than what was there today.. let us know with aa sign at the door!!!
The pork belly was fantastic. On par with the best I’ve ever had from this type of venue. And the pizzas were great too. No hoppy beer options available. One or two flavourful craft IPA choices should be a standard at such venues nowadays. They only had a bottled option which was out of stock. Don’t let the bar let down the kitchen at a pub!
