Contribuiți la feedbackDuring my time in Hamilton, this restaurant was our favorite spot for all things seafood. Whether it was fresh salmon to prepare at home or ready-made seafood to take home, this place never disappointed. The food here is consistently delicious.
Always buy our fresh seafood here, particularly sushi grade tuna. The ocean generously shared its bounty today with both tuna fillets tuna belly available. Obvs we went with the fatty, succulent belly to make homemade poke bowls (sidebar: they were ah mayzing, 5/5 LOL! .<br/ <br/ Service is always the best you can buy all the accoutrements: cold bags, lemons, products from our beloved Mure’s even the black sesame seeds we needed from their seasoning section. Phew! <br/ <br/ The new(ish location is a very schmick improvement has a cafe with a $10 burger range, fish chips etc. Given the excellence of the co op I’d hope this side gig is just as great, although we’re yet to test it.<br/ <br/ Sentimental self really appreciated the turtle artwork, commissioned by a local artist as a tribute to environmental conservation made from recycled plastic as a reminder how we’re messing up our waterways (I’m paraphrasing... . Bravo!
I give Diana a thumbs up for their coffee, which is a great brew of Blue Sky. The small coffee shop connected to Sammies serves coffee and sandwiches.
I had a great experience at this restaurant. The crumbed snapper was fresh, moist, and tasty, while the crumbed sea mullet was also excellent and very fresh. Both species are native to the area. The calamari was not impressive, but overall the food was worth the price, especially considering I have paid more for lower quality food elsewhere. You can choose to sit outside or inside, and the dishes are served in cardboard, which didn't bother me. Although the service is not super fast, the wait is worth it for the beautiful, fresh seafood. I highly recommend trying their raw fish dishes. The restaurant is focused on serving clean, fresh, beautiful seafood in a waterfront location. I visited for a midweek lunch and had no trouble finding a seat. The food is the main attraction here, with all other factors being secondary. I suggest checking it out for yourself.
Great fresh seafood. I am a regular and I cannot fault their good value for money!! Also an opportunity to buy your seafood from them directly which is awesome.
