Tonight we has Tom Yum, Quail and noodles. Betong has a great selection of authentic Thai with a number of western friendly Thai and south East Asian dishes. This is the second time I've eaten here and both times I've been pleasantly surprised at the quality. Highly recommended!

Owner is plain rude. We did not book however was completely empty raining outside. Owner refused to allow us to sit inside was arrogant and insisted that the tables were book. In the end we sat outside, the food was tasteless when drinks were served, the glasses we received were less than 200ml for a $4 soft drink. Food was tasteless and bland.. would not recommend!

It's funny how when you travel for business and have a regular little cheap eatery you forget to give it a review. Well Be'Tong is that place for me. I have been eating here for last couple of years and it is basic but nice. Good food that warms the heart and is satisfying in every way. I have worked through the menu but the Tom Yum Soups and the Stir Fry Curries are the ones to go for. Tonight I chose the mixed entrees and mixed seafood soup. Both great staples and are quickly served and satisfying. You can eat well and for a low cost and walk out feeling great. Wine selection is basic but you can have a glass of wine with your meal and that's what is important. They do takeaway, Uber and all other take out methods. Friendly staff Low cost Good food. What made us sit down was the menu alone we wanted Thai considering the other choices. But what a bad choice we made.The manager/owner (the only one on the floor at 7.00pm on a Saturday night), was the most unwelcoming and rude hospitality worker we've ever come across. From the plastic dusty flowers among the restaurant, to the old wooden dusty christmas tree still on the counter, there was no care put into the presentation of the place. The food was cheap, but average probably correctly priced considering the quality. To top off the experience, we were charged $8 corkage for our soft drink. When he admitted he thought we were drinking beer, he still insisted the corkage covered his soft drink list, even though he didn't sell the soft drink we bought (sugar free). Horrible service.
