The restaurant needs to hire new bouncers, as the current staff seems to disregard table reservations and tend to shout at young adults for no reason. Their rude behavior creates a terrible atmosphere for everyone who visits. It's surprising that they have someone like Charlie, the main bouncer, who chooses to confront patrons instead of managing the situation better. He yelled at me when I tried to re-enter after a quick break outside. Despite my meal waiting for me at the table and starting to get cold, he insisted that the restaurant was fully booked and wouldn't even listen to my explanation. The place has great potential on the high street, attracting a lot of young customers, but if this continues, they risk losing them due to the aggressive behavior of the head bouncer, who seems to have a double standard when it comes to who gets in.

My granddaughter and I had a wonderful time dining here, and we were truly impressed by the variety of options on the menu. We definitely plan to return to sample more of the enticing dishes!

I had another fantastic visit to Bar 1. The food is consistently delicious, and the atmosphere improved once a few tables were filled and the music started playing. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. I absolutely love this place!

I booked a table with you a few weeks back for 3 people on 22/06/2019 it was for my friends birthday. Our Plan was to come to Bar 1 for a meal and then venture onto Club 1 for more drinks and dancing. At The time of the booking I was unaware that it was Ascot Races. On route to the restaurant there was heavy traffic so I rang the restaurant to explain our booking was at 8:00 but we would be delayed by 30 mins. I was told it was fine get here when you can. We arrived at Bar1 and we were greeted by a waitress who questioned me several times about my booking and when I booked which unnerved me slightly and I actually found very unprofessional as she was extremely negative. I could see a table laid up for 3 I pointed out the table she then asked me again about my booking. I explained that I emailed ages ago didn't hear so I went to bar 1 website and it tells you to book through Open Table which I did I had a confirmation email so was happy that my reservation was confirmed. She then told me you had lots of problems with open table. I politely pointed out that really wasn't my concern. She eventually sat down and gave us a set menu .....This confused me as I had viewed the menu online and it stated nothing about a set menu or in fact about early closure due to Ascot races. The waitress then came back and declared that everything would be shutting down at 10pm by this point it was now 9:00pm. It became very clear we could not stay I was not prepared to pay £30 for a meal that I would have to eat within the hour and leave. I was so disappointed I had planned the whole evening for my friend so she could relax and enjoy her birthday. It also proved to be a very costly evening as we had paid £38.00 to get a Taxi there to have to abandon our night with no food and left stranded in Ascot. By this point it ws too late to get food and we ended up having to return home. We should of been contacted in advance to be told about ascot and the changes that would affect us.

Thought I’d give this place a go.... been a few times when the races are on and it does get busy Shown to our table... service was good... had to wait a bit, but it was busy so it’s expected Food was nice when it came and served with a smile If planing a meal here, worth checking if the footies on cause it gets a bit loud Definitely worth a try and shall be returning
