Locanda Del Medioevo - ASCOLI PICENO

Came here for dinner with my bf after checking on here what was around. The place is really nicely decorated, medieval music playing in the background. Service, which at the beginning was really quick, food came out in about 10/15 minutes, slowly dropped throughout the evening. Had to catch the attention of waiters even thou we were clearly finished (our plates were piled up on the table) to order dessert. Waiters walking up and down the road, we were sitting outside, but not a glance at the table to check if everything was ok. Food was ok, my bf had the ravioli with nettle pesto which they kindly removed the speck as he is vegetarian, he said they were really good. On the other hand I had a pizza... with salmon, zucchini and curry. Not really what I expected... the curry was nearly not existent, they sprinkled some curry powder which was quite tasteless on top of the pizza. Not bad but not great.

We were walking the beautiful medival town of ascoli piceno just looking for a place for dinner and the outside decor lured us in , at first we thought its trying a cute medival theme , maybe the food wont be good ! We were pleasantly wrong! Wehad a delicious dinner , outstanding pizza, homemade pasta, simple and perfect bruscetta and great wine. Oh and dessert ! Great prices as well. Highly recommend!!!

I really love the atmosphere... i am fan of the medieval periode and can definitly recomend the restaurant to have a good wine there, enjoying also the medieval music and decoration. The quality of food is not the best and under the italian standard of Pizzas for example. The prices are not too high but also they arent't cheap. I will go there again to have a nice House-Wine :
