Mayan - Asbury Park

Both the tacos and the birria were very good. Food was fresh and hot. They were generous with the limes ? the mango milk shake was also very good. It's a good option reasonably priced in Asbury Park.

I saw the good reviews for this place so I gave it a try. I was really hoping to enjoy this restaurant but we were not impress. As soon as we walked in, it was messy (food all over the counter) and not clean. The food look ok and did not taste as great. The only thing we kind of enjoyed was the pizza Birria and yellow rice. Enchiladas with green sauce and regular beans were not good. The food at this restaurant is spicy but lacks flavor. Hope they can improve themselves, otherwise not going back.

Best damn birrira tacos in Monmouth County! Go on a Tuesday..and absolutely put their house hot sauce on it!

Delicious freshly made food, attentive service, and a diverse selection of meals. We highly recommend Mayan for authentic and fresh Mexican food. Tacos, pizza and guacamole were superb.

I come here regularly because the food is just amazing. Fresh juice drink are fire as well but today I witnessed one of the girls behind the counter feed a homeless woman off the street that came in and asked. It was an act of kindness that is unfortunately becoming more rare to see in the wild. This just solidified it as one of my fav restaurants!!!
