We had a wonderful experience at this charming country pub. The food was fantastic, with highlights being the Mushroom and Dolcelatte Risotto with Rocket (thank you to David) and one of the best steak and ale pies my husband has ever had. The atmosphere in the lovely restaurant was great as well. We will definitely return when we are in the area again. Thank you, Heidi and Rob.

Fab country pub. Food delicious…. A mix of burgers (chicken and beef) and a mixed grill. Service brilliant. Highly recommend

Good Service staff, aggressive towards people including my self where the order was. At placing order there was No indication of orders will be delayed due to large party booking. Upon receiving my order food was ok. Not worth £20 paid. Go here for drinks but food very disappointing. Will not eat here again.

My wife and I stopped by for lunch at this restaurant, which is the closest pub to the properties we were looking to buy in Angmering. We were greeted by two polite young ladies who seated us at a table for two. My wife ordered the Sussex Smokey, while I opted for the Fish Fillet 1/4lb burger with fries. However, we were not informed that there would be a wait of over an hour for our food. It became apparent that there was a large party in another area that were receiving priority service. Despite this, we patiently waited for our food to arrive. Once it finally did, it was nicely presented and looked appetizing. However, upon trying the fish burger, I found that the fish was undercooked, with a cold and tough center that I couldn't bite through. I discreetly informed the waitress, who was apologetic and offered to show us the dessert menu, which we declined. Unfortunately, there was no discount on the bill for the almost inedible meal. It seemed like my complaint didn't reach the management, and the inexperienced staff maybe didn't know how to handle it properly. Despite this, my wife enjoyed her Sussex Smokey. In the end, the fault lies with the management for not properly training their staff on how to handle complaints. Overall, a disappointing experience with potential for improvement.

Average pub but with above average prices. The beer is expensive and the food on the pricey side. The meals served were so so hot fish but lukewarm chips for example. Won't visit again
