Hotel Cochin Ark Restaurant

I adore this restaurant, especially for their Kerala-style paratha and mutton curry. The coconut milk gravies for both the vegetables and meat/fish dishes make the food incredibly delicious.

The Cochin Ark restaurant is famous for its Kerala cuisine, and I often stop by for breakfast since it's close to my home. I enjoy their Appam served with Chana Masala, known as kadala in Malayalam. I also recommend trying the Kerala paratha with chicken or fish curry at this restaurant. The restaurant is not well-maintained, and typically only one waiter, Santosh, manages the place.

Back in the area and checked out the food at this place again. Tried something new in ordering delivery. Very Good Chicken Biriyani delivered to your house! They are not ready for serving Biriyani until after 1pm. And delivery does have a minimum charge. But if you call early, they will bring out the food right on time. Papad, Salad and pickles on the side, they bring it all. Good food and very good delivery.

Cochin Ark restaurant is known for Kerala dishes and sometimes I do visit the place for my breakfast as the place is nearby from my residence. I like their Appam which goes well with Chana Masala ( kadala in Malayalam ) and Kerala paratha with chicken or fish curry is also recommend at this restaurant. Place is not well kept and usually one waiter Santosh manages the place

So maybe not every one is going to stop here just by looking at the outside. But don't pass it by! Every day the paratha maker makes hundreds of parathas and sells them faster than he can make them at peak times. The Chicken Biriyani is large and plenty for two normal eaters. It is amazingly economical. The seating is simple And decorations are absent. No real ambience just good food. There is an AC section upstairs. We have visited this place for parathas for years, the other food is also really good. The food can vary with the change of cooks I have heard from regulars but the one they have there now is doing an excellent job. The owner/boss speaks Malayalam and Hindi and English, maybe more. He is from Kerala.
