El Pollo Loco - Artesia

The restaurant itself is clean and attractive. This was my first visit, and I wouldn't hesitate to return. The Fresh Salsa Bar is well stocked, although I noticed that the napkin dispensers have been removed from the tables. Times must be tough! No one will give you a hard time if you pay with a credit card or request a large cup for salsa, which is nice. Location-wise, it’s less than a block from the Artesia Denny's. There's plenty of parking available, although getting in and out can be a bit hectic during peak hours. General thoughts on El Pollo Loco: 1. These are budget-friendly chain establishments. They no longer include flour or corn tortillas with your chicken, and it's been about 10 years since they stopped doing that. 2. The recipe for the Guacamole Salsa has changed. It used to taste delicious and actually have the flavor of guacamole, but now it has a strange, chemical smell reminiscent of bleach. 3. The vouchers they give you with your order can be quite annoying. I usually just toss them because they're a waste of paper and I'll never use them. Plus, half of them are for Fosters Freeze, which doesn’t even exist in Cerritos or Artesia!
