Contribuiți la feedbackIf you’ve found El Rincon, then you already know what you want to eat for lunch. There really is just one main course on the menu – Adeje chicken as suggested by the restaurant’s name. Pretty much everything else might be considered a starter or something to have alongside your chicken. Your only decision is whether you want your chicken “piquante” or not. Well, of course you do – that’s the whole point of Adeje chicken. We ordered a salad – just lettuce, tomato and onion and chips to go with it. The salad comes quickly, to be eaten as a starter. And that’s followed by a generous serving of chicken thighs and drumsticks, coated in a spicy rub with a heavy use of pimenton, for flavour and colour, and vinegar. It’s thenfried so the skin gets crispy. On a Saturday lunchtime, it was busy and, from the sound of voices, everyone other than us was Spanish. It’s what professional food writers call a “hidden gem”.
I saw this reviewed on YouTube about 3 years ago and wanted to visit. We were not disappointed in the least. When my wife said about seeing them on ewetube, they got a little concernedd (fair enough, one bad review can be detrimental with the right channel). We assured them that we are not tubers (hence no photos) and proceeded to order (having alleviated their fears). Wife had a half roasted chicken (she's not keen on tomato) and I I had the house chicken with Mojo. Plates were delivered quickly and the chicken was amongst the most succulent we have eaten away from home. The house sauce with Mojo is initially fiery hot to some palettes, but gentles into a very pleasant aftertaste quite quickly. 2 very satisfied diners. Will we go back? Damn right, even just to torture the Chef for the Mojo recipie! As for value all that above 2 large doradras, 23 Euros. Bargain. The food is as good in real life as the photographs. The camera can lie, but for this place it does not.
We always visit this restaurant every time we are in Tenerife, no matter where we are staying. The food, service and ambiance are excellent . We dream of revisiting here every time we go home. There is nothing to criticise on here about this restaurant please visit as you will not be disappointed.
