Corte Della Rocchetta - ARONA

Kind, home internal setting as well as outside amazing view of the lake. Simply food, but very tasty, with a great wine selection for a convenient price.

If it would be possible to give two marks i would have given 5 points for the location and the view. This is far away the best spot of Arona for enjoying the view of the lake. The service is unfrotunately not so good as the view. We took almost 20minutes to have a cappuccino and an orange juice. My feeling is that a so wonderful spot should need better service.

The cafe is situated at the top of the park adjacent the childrens play area and flag mound you can see the flags from Arona town and the views are really excellent up and down the lake plus across the town. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon it was extremely busy with family groups (parking on the access road was difficult) but tables did become vacant. There were numerous waiting staff milling around and one said she'd be back and then seemed to forget about us. After a while we indicated again, she came across and then had to disappear for a while locating menus (which has a range of simple cafe fare choices at very reasonable prices). No surprise there was a mix up with the order but it all got sorted and my wife says the warmed blueberry muffin was excellent. I ordered what I thought was a pizza slice but which was more like a meal in itself for a measly 3e! The cool breeze was certainly welcome as it was a rather hot day. The other good thing about its location is the close proximity of the childrens play area which means you can sit at one of the nearby tables and keep an eye on your kids as they run off surplus energy. At the end of the meal take your ticket inside to pay.

We ate very well, with a beautiful view of the lake. the menu is varied and the location is really enviable.
