Haru Restaurant - Armstrong

Love Haru sushi. They have friendly staff, great menu/food, low prices. I love the caterpillar roll, it's my favourite! For such a small place, they have so many items on the menu. I bring all of my family and friends here over Tanunki, any day.

You will be easy to find this one in the town and can also easily order some sushi if you are not very picky people. The waiter looks very happy look, a typical small resteruant int the small town.

Have had take out from this restaurant a few times now. Have not been disappointed yet. Have found the staff to be very friendly and food very tasty. It's a small restaurant next to Askew's grocery store. Will eat here again for sure.

Tried out this little place based on reviews. Tonight they had buffet so I tried it, and my wife ordered from menu. Waiter was younger guy who was friendly, but knew little about the food they served. Buffet was cold, and frequently out. Also, not at all a sushi or japanese buffet, some deep fried frozen spring rolls, deep fried chicken, some sort of noodle dish, scummy looking miso, and some Cali rolls. Certainly not worth the price. My wife's selection from the menu was better, but took forever to get there. She had what they called A la Carte, which had decent sunomono, greasy tempura with rock hard yam/squash. Beef noodle main was very very salty and swimming in sauce. Sushi tasted like supermarket quality, certainly not premium ingredients. Waiter seemed more interested in chatting with other cook/server than watching customers. Place was quite dead for Saturday night, so not sure why service was so slow or why all the food tasted "leftover".

I have always found the food and service at Haru to be great. The staff is friendly and the food delicious.
