Pastry House Hippo - Arlington Heights

Japanese bakery inside of Mitsuwa, within the grocery store, serving a variety of food items from bread to cakes to pastries filled with cream or red bean paste or wrapped around hot dogs; pricey but worth trying, and certainly easier than driving all the way to Chinatown, though the product line is slightly different than the Cantonese bakeries there.

Well, it just looks like the bakery in Japan, but the taste is not that impressive actually. But I love I could get warm canned tea coffee in there.

Fantastic bakery to get some great selections for breakfast and brunch! I always get enough from here to last me a few days. They do carry some items on the side like cake slices and croquettes too!

Best bakery in Chicagoland! Quality goods at a great price. I have never been disappointed and am amazed at their consistency! Employees are very friendly and practice excellent safety precautions during my visit. Thank you!
