Passero - Arlington Heights

I visited Passero for dinner on Wednesday, and it was fantastic. The atmosphere was wonderful, featuring great music and beautiful decor. As for the food... wow! We started with the veal and pork meatballs as an appetizer, then I had the fish for my main course while my boyfriend chose the beef. We ended up sharing our dishes because we wanted each other to experience how delicious they were! We will definitely be returning!

The service was excellent, and they helped us choose a perfect wine to complement our meal. Our dishes were truly spectacular. The owner, Matt, stopped by to check on us, which clearly demonstrates his passion for his work. The menu features a wide variety of flavors, some of which I've never encountered or tasted before. It was fantastic! I'm already looking forward to my next visit to try something new. The Gnocchi Napoletano was outstanding!

I just left Passero, and I can confidently say it was the best meal I’ve had in a long time – definitely the best in Arlington Heights. Every detail of this restaurant has been thoughtfully crafted, from the decor to the glasses the drinks are served in. It truly feels like you're in a city setting, not just downtown Arlington Heights. We started with the burrata brussels, which came with an incredibly large piece of fresh mozzarella. Then we tried the fonduta, which we all agreed was our favorite dish – not an easy choice to make! We also enjoyed the gnocchi napoletano and the ricotta cavatelli. Even my drink, the late taverna nights, was fantastic; it's a bourbon cocktail perfectly balanced with just the right touch of sweetness that complements rather than overwhelms the bourbon. We will definitely be returning!

We love Passero and come here often! With a baby at home we don’t always have time to go to the city lately, so it’s nice to have a wonderful place like Passero around. It’s just as good, if not better than many Italian bistros in the city. All the food is fresh and lots of local goods. I like that the menu is seasonal and that some ingredients are repeated through the menu. The service is very good usually as well. Great selection of beers, wines and cocktails. It’s always busy so make a reservation and be prepared to wait even if you have one. We take our 7-month-old there for early lunches and they are always super friendly and helpful with kids! This is definitely one of our favorite suburban restaurants.

We had dinner at Passero tonight- exceptional food and service! Not only was the food delicious but the serving size was great! The restaurant offers a great variety of appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts! I highly recommend this restaurant to all of my family and friends- we will definitely be back!
