We sat for 15 minutes before anyone brought menus--and only after I got up and asked someone. It took 30 minutes for someone to take our order, then another 30 minutes (no joke) before the beers came!. Then one meal (mine), followed 10 minutes later by another meal, and than 15 minutes later by yet other meals. Some of us waited an hour for our food. Several of the orders were messed up as well. Then we had to beg for the checks. Unbelievable.
The selection of beer is great, but this new thing they 're doing with loud club music and plastic cups is a total buzzkill on weekends. Went on Friday night and there was a DJ, loud music (so loud that you can 't talk at a table), and beers were in plastic cups and not even to the top. Not a classy place to go on a Friday night anymore, so we ended up leaving after 1 drink. Big disappointment. Bartender told me it was to suit college kids who don 't want to go to Clarendon . My opinion is that this is a place to go chill and enjoy nice beers, so not sure what they 're going for.
Is it acceptable for co-workers/World of Beer staff to be drinking alcohol at the bar while working? The manager did not have an answer and that is not a surprise, but expect poor treatment and rushed service when you dine in here. I've seen the lack of professionalism and respect from both Blu and Brian when it comes to dealing with the LGBTQ+ community. The general public deserves to be aware of the types of people and environments they are supporting and enabling when they are dining in. Overall, I don't recommend that anyone eats or works at this restaurant if they are looking for a safe space.
Frist time here. Got invited by a friend. At the bar. 2 bartenders, females. Passed by me when I came and sat down for a good fifteen minutes. Even in that time, they hadn't checked on my friend who was here longer. He finally got one of their attention (one with glasses). But she already came with an impatient attitude. With that attitude, I didn't want to order anything from that bartender. Eventually, the other young lady with braids in a ponyrail came to us with a smile on her face. She was nice. Just no time to order food. Nor did I want to drink a beer on an empty stomach. Had a movie to catch.
Walked over with about a dozen coworkers at 5:00 for happy hour. Place was basically empty so we figured service would be quick. I'm currently sitting here at 5:42 and we have yet to receive a single drink. I have to leave at 6 : . I'm not mad I'm disappointed. How about about world of no beer, know what I'm sayin 5:49 edit)
