I ordered the broccoli and carrot entrée with beef, and it was full of great flavor and freshness. However, the broccoli was undercooked and quite large—most restaurants typically serve it in bite-sized pieces. Additionally, the seaweed salad portion was smaller than expected; I got about half of what I would anticipate for $6.

I ordered the Lemon Chicken through Uber Eats, having enjoyed this dish at other places before. My food arrived hot and well-packaged, but unfortunately, the lemon chicken was disappointing. The sauce had a strange, chemical smell, and the chicken tasted stale, almost like it had been sitting around forever or was freezer-burned. Some pieces were so tough that they felt rock hard and tasted very old—not just from being under a heat lamp, but likely frozen well past their expiration date. I had higher expectations for this restaurant, but I won't be returning. I ended up having to throw away an entire meal I paid for.

This is a fantastic hidden gem of a Chinese restaurant. My family has been dining here for over 30 years (they used to be located down the street on Lamar). The owner is a wonderful person, and they serve excellent food. I find the negative reviews quite confusing, as the food truly ranks among the best for local American Chinese cuisine. If you're uncertain about trying it, I encourage you to give it a shot. My favorite dishes include the Shredded Chicken Sichuan Style, Beef with Garlic Sauce, and Chicken and Beef Lo Mein. Their egg rolls and soup are also excellent!
