Contribuiți la feedbackI would give the Key Bridge Marriott a three-star rating, broken down as follows: +100000000 stars for the staff, but only 999999997 stars for the owners, who clearly haven't invested in the property in years. Every staff member I interacted with, from the check-in team to the housekeepers and event servers, was exceptionally friendly and helpful—exactly the kind of people you want representing a hotel. They truly deserve raises. Unfortunately, these fantastic employees are working in a hotel that has clearly been neglected by its ownership. The condition of the property is quite disappointing for a Marriott. There are chipped edges on tables, dirty carpets that show their age (not due to poor cleaning), and sliding closet doors that don’t work properly because the tracks are worn out. I could point out more issues, but you get the idea. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again, considering the low quality of the property and the many better hotel options available nearby.
I've stayed at this Marriott multiple times as a Titanium Level member, but each visit has made me less inclined to return. The room with the king bed was quite small, and the decor felt outdated and poorly maintained. The hallways were dimly lit and showed significant wear and tear. Even after setting the air conditioner to 60°F, my room never cooled down below the high 70s. They've replaced traditional room service with a concept called "Fresh Bites," similar to what's available at the JW Marriott downtown. Unfortunately, instead of a well-presented dinner with proper utensils, my meal arrived in a takeaway-style paper bag with the food packed in a flimsy plastic container. I would suggest saving your money and using Grubhub or Uber Eats instead of the hotel’s room service. I might think about returning, but only if the location is exceptionally convenient for my business needs.
We were truly disappointed with our experience over the past year. As loyal customers for the past decade, we never considered staying anywhere else. We always enjoyed the Key Bridge and thought Gracie, the front manager, was absolutely wonderful! Please ensure she remains part of your team. When we tried to book our stays for the Washington Football games this year, we discovered that you were closed for renovations. We've been coming here since my cousin's wedding ten years ago when you last underwent renovations. Staying at other hotels in D.C. has been a new experience for us, and now we’re not solely a “one-hotel” family anymore. We look forward to returning when you reopen and seeing how things have changed.
Initially, we requested an upgrade to a suite since our adult son unexpectedly had a day off and wanted to join us. Unfortunately, they couldn't accommodate our request. The rooms here are extremely small, barely sufficient for two people. We then inquired about switching to the nearby Georgetown Marriott, but were told that we couldn't because we had prepaid through the app. As members, we appreciate that in the past we've had the flexibility to cancel or modify reservations, but that wasn't the case this time. We decided to make the best of it. However, breakfast the next morning was a complete disaster. There were more kids under 12 than I could count, and the breakfast bar was in chaos. The staff member serving us seemed under the influence, constantly touching his face, scratching his nose, playing with his hair, and even digging at his teeth with his hand in his mouth. It was one of the most off-putting sights I've ever witnessed. This Marriott feels like a strange, different experience compared to what we're used to; it seems to cater to a clientele that doesn't align with our preferences. Additionally, there is no concierge club available on weekends, so don’t expect a break from the overwhelming number of children. The only positive aspect of this stay was the location.
The bartender handled the line exceptionally well, so the wait for cocktails was never too long, which was quite impressive given that he was the only one working at the bar. The dessert table was a dream come true, featuring an impressive variety of miniature tartlets and cakes in different fruit flavors, alongside the classic chocolate! I definitely indulged a little too much and likely gained a pound or two, but it was absolutely worth every bite!
