El Olivio - Arcos de la Frontera

We happened upon this place during a hot and dusty drive from Ronda to Cadiz. It's not in the heart of Arcos, but just off the main expressway. It seems to function mainly as a workers' bar, cafe and lunchspot. It's brash, noisy and unpretentious. English is not really spoken here, but sign language is readily understood, as is any reference to football. Order a couple of beers or finos and some tapas (if you are a meat-eater, the Plata Iberica is seriously good value and will set you up for the day) and you'll find it a great place to rest and watch the south of Spain go by.
