Contribuiți la feedbackI ordered a bowl of frozen slop for $11, which I'm pretty sure was loaded with MSG since both my mom and I had terrible headaches and stomach pains after. The frozen meat was so unappetizing that I switched to tofu. Great, you get to watch someone stir your food on a giant grill, but honestly, it felt gimmicky. If I were a strict vegetarian, I'd be outraged that my veggie dish was touching meat juices, but I'm not. Personally, I don’t mind some bacon grease flavoring my tofu. Now, as for the taste—what taste? Everything was bland. You could smother the MSG veggies, tasteless meat, and ramen-like noodles in as many sauces as you’d like, but it still desperately needed salt. Of course, I had to go search for a salt shaker myself because our server didn’t seem to understand the concept of service. I understand that working in the service industry is tough. I tried it for three weeks and wasn’t great at it, but I at least knew how to smile and be polite. Fast forward to Thursday, and both my mom and I have been feeling awful since Monday. Thanks for that, Masaki's! In short, if you want a terrible headache, nausea for days, chipped dishes (which any decent restaurant should avoid as they harbor bacteria), greasy tables, dirty floors, poor service, and bland overpriced food, then Masaki's is the place for you! I’ll be posting a photo of my son a few days after our visit—he was running a high fever, lethargic, with a runny nose and cough. While I can’t say for certain he got sick from Masaki's, it would be interesting to see what the Health Department would find if they checked the highchairs. It’s quite a coincidence that all three of us felt ill right after eating there. After our meal at Masaki's (if you can call it that), I felt terrible for three days—sweating, dry heaving, with a fever, extreme fatigue, and chills. Meanwhile, my mom spent quality time with a trash bag in the bathroom. Normally, I try to avoid cursing in my reviews, but when my little one gets sick, it’s hard to hold back—CLEAN YOUR HIGHCHAIRS, PLEASE!
This is a fantastic and unique restaurant, not just another pizza or Mexican spot. The food is fresh, well-prepared, and reasonably priced. We keep coming back because it's consistently good.
Masaki's is truly a fantastic little restaurant that far surpassed my expectations. I ordered a bowl, which allows you to customize your meal by selecting from a bar featuring three types of noodles, various meats, and plenty of vegetables! My meal was delicious, and they even offer options for both vegans and vegetarians. To top it all off, the service and hospitality were exceptional. (Check out the picture of my amazing bowl below.) This place absolutely deserves a full five stars!
I've given this spot two chances, and let me tell you why I wasn't happy. Both times, I had horrible customer service. I get that people have off days, but the waiter and host were pissed off both times I went. The waiter got was ignoring things we asked for, and had a mean attitude the whole time as well. The first time I ordered the noodles, and was not happy with the outcome. The meats were cooked thank goodness, but the veggies were not cooked and were still cold. During this visit my bf and I also ordered the calamari, and I was super confused when y came out because the batter separated from the squid and it was just not good. The second time we went last night) I ordered the bulgogi tritip bento box, and my bf ordered the chicken teriyaki. When the food came out, I was curious about what came in the Fuji apple salad. I don't know what was in it, but it was not good. So I moved on to the meat and it was horrible. It was cooked just fine, but they shouldn't be labeling it as bulgogi. I've had a lot of bulgogi in my life, and this wasn't even close! It tasted like it was just covered in black pepper and that's it. I had to dredge my meat in teriyaki sauce to make it edible. Last but not least the rice was not fresh. I'm Filipino and know the difference between fresh rice and next day rice. I took it home in my to go box just in case to give it a second chance when I got home, but it was so mushy I couldn't eat it. Last thing is the price, this place is expensive for what you get. The restaurant itself is not clean, and the food/service is not good. I would not suggest this place to anyone. This is the first time that I did not leave a tip. I feel guilty but when I think back on it, the food is definitely over prices and the service was horrible. I think management needs to hire new people or better train the staff they have. I don't think I'll ever come back here. :
We ordered the bowl it's a little pricey but you can stuff it with as many veggies, meat , and noodles as you can fit . They also have a variety of sauces I tried the garlic sauce and the sweet sauce both very good flavor ! We also ordered the egg rolls which were a little oily but they had good flavor . I read reviews about bad customer service but I thought everyone was really nice .
