Peppos Harbour Chip - Arbroath

I had the fish meal, and it was massive—the fish itself was sweet and flaky. The batter was crispy with a few slight burnt bits, which actually added to the flavor! The chips were the best I’ve had, far superior to those at Silvery Tay. My boyfriend ordered the steak pie dinner, and if you've read my previous reviews, you'll know he has a soft spot for a good steak pie. The crust was thick and perfectly baked, so I can’t complain about that. The meat inside the pie was tender and free of gristle, and the pastry was lovely and crispy. He enjoyed the chips as well. Overall, I’d say this was the best chippy meal I’ve had in quite some time!

The fish dinner was of excellent quality, as always. If Franc and John retire as planned in October, it would be a significant loss.

This place is a gem! Even though we haven't been here in years and we clearly aren't locals, it hasn't changed a bit! The charming little decorations, the handwritten menu, and the delightful young ladies serving us are all still as wonderful as ever. The two young people running the place haven't aged a day! We absolutely love it! Monthelichties!

Remain in Dolphins is the only fish bar I will ever go to. It has the best fish in the world! This place is a gem, especially since the other two shops on the same street are always empty, which speaks volumes about its quality. I can't wait for the celebrations to start on August 4th. This place deserves all five stars and is worth a million times more!

This is the best fish and chips place in town, run by two fantastic legends. They always have the best banter and things can get a bit wild at times. The portions are generous, with huge fish and large servings of chips.
