Contribuiți la feedbackWe enjoyed our Thanksgiving lunch at the Sanderlings buffet. It was a lovely day and we were able to enjoy the world class view of the Monterey Bay. The food was very good, with an excellent selection. Still, and $95 per person, plus a mandatory 20% gratuity, it was very expensive. They charged me extra for my iced tea.
I had the Cioppino. I order it around 2 times a year. This was the worst one, I’ve had ever. The crab was over cooked. The shell was soft and felt empty. I peeled the shell apart and the crab meat was so cooked it was shrived up. The shrimp were tiny, they are always the big ones with shells on the tails. The garlic bread was tough. It looked like it had promise, but was not crisp or soft, it was old. The flavor of the sauce was good. I do not recommend this dish. We also ordered the Salmon. That was good. I loved the sauce on the plate. The veggies were roasted and plentiful. The salmon tasted fresh and no old fish glabor. I should have believed the other reviews and not ordered the Cioppino and ordered the salmon.
The new menu has fewer items than on our last visit. There is still plenty to choose from. Fish and Chips is still fantastic as is the clam chowder. Our waiter Zaul was fantastic. Very professional, attentive and knowledgable! Sunsets are stunning!
Beautiful views with great food and good service. Not much else to ask for.
Excellent service by our server aaron, excellent food quality, beautiful ambiente for a hotel restaurant. family near with 3-4 small children made noise level higher, but at this type of event are expected.
