Mountain Mike's Pizza - Aptos

Awesome location and the staff is spot on when coming out to ensure customer satisfaction. Clean restaurant and plenty of room. The pizza itself is awesome for what most people call a chain restaurant , but something about this establishment makes it taste better than others. We always come here locally and never fails to leave with a smile!

We love mountain mikes and usually get it delivered to us in Watsonville. but today we stopped in Aptos and got a pizza. had half here and half to go home. watched the end of the football game and enjoyed our pie. This newer location is so clean and nice. Our food came out so fast. We would love to come back with a crew and watch some football in the future. the service was awesome and super attentive which is always nice.

We 've been ordering from Village Host VH) in Aptos for several years, but we were interested in trying the new Mountain Mikes MM) Pizza in the Rancho Del Mar Shopping Center. We order for a family of four adults. This is not a side-by-side comparison as we already know what we will get from Village Host.Starting with the website, we found it difficult to order. The MM website kept refreshing on our iPad and it opened three new web pages before we could order from the Aptos location.From MM, we ordered a large 14 McKinley $29.99), medium 12 cheese $20.99), 6pc plain wings $10.99), 6pc Stingin ' Honey Garlic Wings $10.99), and small garlic sticks with cheese $7.99). The website gave us $5.00 a large pizzaVH doesn 't have wings, so we can just compare the pizzas to the large Village Combination $32.05), medium cheese pizza $18.20), and small garlic chips $10.50). The VH website gives $4.00 a large pizza.Overall, prices are comparable. We believe the VH pizzas are bigger for each size, but not positive size isn 't mentioned on the VH website). The MM order was delivered fairly quickly and was hot. We normally pick up from VH as delivery usually takes ~45 minutes.The VH Village Combo was decidedly better than the MM McKinley. We were searching for meat on the McKinley and the veggies stole the show. The Village Combo is noticeably loaded with meat, but has a good balance of meat and veggies.The MM cheese pizza definitely has more cheese than VH. Both could use more marinara sauce.The VH garlic chips are much more garlicky. The MM garlic sticks with cheese just tasted like cheese and no noticeable garlic flavor.The MM wings were good, hot, and flavorful. We could taste a little heat in the background of the Stingin ' Honey Garlic Wings, but with Stingin ' in the title, we were expecting more.Overall, not a bad experience from MM, but not ... ohhhh, I 'm going back for THAT! So for us, it was average food. We prefer Village Host.

. Owner said I had to go myself for 2nd trip. Even though I paid for unlimited trips. $14 plus....Said I Couldn't send anyone else up for me. I'm old and my leg was bothering me. So I just gave him my 2nd salad back. Poor customer service! Not going back!

We ordered a salad and they asked if we would like unlimited said yes extra money. We refilled salad and they came to table and took salad away. Saying only one person could eat. I was just refilling the plate for my 78 year old dad. They took the salad away.
