We are so glad we discovered this hidden gem! I ordered the Polish dish while my wife chose the slaw schnitzel. The poutine was surprisingly excellent, loaded with cheese and freshly cooked. Everything was very fresh and flavorful, making it a great alternative to burgers.

This review is for Outdoor Express. The roadside patio is nice and well-maintained, filled with plenty of flowers and plants. The owners have done a great job making both the restaurant and patio visually appealing from the road, which is what drew me in. Unfortunately, the food was just average. The schnitzel was dry and thin, and the meat portion was small for the price, which wasn’t inexpensive. The fries were the only highlight of the meal. Perhaps the food is better in the formal dining area, but I’m curious why there are so many four-star reviews. If you’re looking for a lovely patio to enjoy, it’s worth a visit. Otherwise, you can find better food elsewhere without much effort.

This has become one of my favorite spots for brunch. If you enjoy long drives through northern Ontario and find yourself in the area, you absolutely must stop by. The service is outstanding, and you can see that this family-run business takes great pride in their food and baked goods. The food is fantastic, with generous portions, especially the schnitzel, which is exceptional. I can't say enough good things about this place!

This is just on the schnitzel express part Positives: schnitzel on the go is a GREAT idea! Beats all the burgers and **** otherwise available on the way to or from cottage! Coleslaw was tasty wish there was more! Fries were okay. Staff is great super friendly and attentive. Offered just about anything to make it enjoyable and checked up on us as we were eating. Eating area nice and clean. Downside (easily fixable) schnitzel wasn't as crispy as I'd normally expect. I understand it was probably not meant to be Vienna style but that's really what I was hoping for. Maybe make Vienna style an option with nice crispy coating. Love that tarts are available at the express counter!

Very friendly staff! The schnitzel was fresh and delicious. I ordered the classic schnitzel on a bun with the rosti (hash browns). The sandwich was massive! MY daughter ordered a meal with a white wine mushroom sauce on the schnitzel with fresh cut fries. She loves it. My wife ordered the Little Bear schnitzel poutine and loved it. The wait for the order was about 25 mins but you know you are getting super fresh food. Well worth the wait. Since it was our first visit we all received a free tart. These tarts are made in store and they are amazing! I usually don't care much for tarts but the pastry and the filling was so tasty and fresh! The owner was very friendly and I am happy a great independent place like this is thriving. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
