The Porkies Original Bbq - Apopka

The customer service was terrible. The person at the register was not customer friendly. They were very impatient and impolite. The majority of the food was room temperature. The seasoned fries were just a small handful of salty fries thrown on a plate. The ribs and brisket were very dry. The quality of the food was not worth over $50 for 2 meals and extra ribs and fries. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I finally got to try this place! O M G this spot is super fire! Old school bbq joint! The lady behind the counter helped me pick out the Monster Ribeye Samich! Check this bad boy out in my photos!

I haven't been to Porkie's in a long time, not because it isn't good but because I don't venture to that side of town much. But, this week we were and I knew exactly where I wanted lunch from. It was exactly like I remembered it, delicious!

In 3 words, Friendly, Good Consistent. Casual friendly service and fresh good food at a fair price. I have been here many times and they are always consistent. Ribs are good, Pulled pork is good, chicken is really good and great fried okra. Amazing fresh brewed sweet tea as you would expect from any self-respecting BBQ place. Home style banana pudding is also great. This is a home style BBQ place. It is not fine dinning but they get the important things right. Great place to sit outside on the front patio on a beautiful day. I used to be in the restaurant business and can appreciate the intangible elements that make a good restaurant.
