Oltremare Anzio By Foschini

We were walking through Anzio and decided on the off chance to have lunch at this restaurant. What a choice, the waiters were attentive without being overbearing, initially the waiter apologised for the menu being in Italian (we are in Italy, it isn't unexpected) and then described all of the menu for us. What followed was a culinary delight, excellent tasting starter that wasn't too big, perfectly balanced main meal and exquisite dessert. Great wine menu too. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. It was the highlight of our trip to Rome and Anzio.

I used to go there but this time unfortunately the food was so-so and quite expensive 90 euros for 2 with one glass of wine only and quire small portions of a crudo (shared) and 2 pastas, with sherbet and coffee. Frankly I will not go back and regret that they are now reducing quantity and increasing prices so much. However our waiter was very kind.
