While they are only open Friday-Sunday with a slightly reduced menu that includes 3-4 vegan options, they are willing to accommodate vegan requests. They make many of their foods in-house, including brownies made from beans and tomato juice. The Saturday market is also worth checking out for artisan products and vegan foods like spicy salsa and cacao. Their store, open daily, sells organic products, cosmetics, kombucha, tofu, coco yogurt, granola, and coffee. Caoba Farm is one of the most beautiful places in Antigua, and definitely worth a visit.
We arrived to find a bustling market that was predominantly run by tourists selling their handmade jewelry. During our visit, the noise from the market drowned out the natural surroundings, which was disappointing for us as we prefer a quieter environment. The attached store had some intriguing items, but they seemed to be priced on the higher side. While the restaurant served delicious food, it was also on the pricier end. Despite the positive reviews, we felt underwhelmed by our overall experience. Perhaps without the live music or at a different time, it would have felt less like a tourist attraction and more like a serene green space.
Caoba Farm in Antigua is a must-visit destination. Guests can explore the organic farming area, participate in yoga classes (offered Wed-Sat mornings), enjoy live music, and indulge in a delicious meal. The restaurant has recently reopened, operating Fri-Sun with a slightly reduced menu featuring about 3-4 vegan options that can be customized. Many items on the menu are made in-house, such as the unique brownie made from beans and fresh tomato juice. Don't miss the Saturday market, where you can find handmade crafts and vegan food items like spicy salsa and cacao. The on-site store is open daily and offers organic produce, cosmetics, kombucha, tofu, cocoghurt, granola, and coffee. While Caoba Farm may be on the pricey side, the quality and experience make it well worth it.
The atmosphere of this restaurant is delightful. They offer a variety of vegan and gluten-free options. We tried the pizza and the vegan gluten-free brownie with ice cream, which was absolutely delicious. The surroundings are beautiful with nature all around. I highly recommend this place!
Caoba farm is definitiw a must if in antigua. you can make a walk in the ecological farming, practice yoga (class Wed-Sat on the morning), enjoy live music and of course a beautiful meal. they reopened, but only Fri-Sun and the menu is a bit reduced with just ~3-4 vegan options, but others can be made vegan. so many foods are made in the house, e.g. the brownie from bon or the tomato juice. the market on Saturday is also worth a visit, they offer artesanias, but also some vegan foods (like salsa picante, cacao. the load (open Mon-Sun) sells organic products, but also cosmetics, kombucha, tofu, cocoghurt, granola, coffee. caoba the farm is one of the priciest places I know, but it is worth definitiw.
