La Civette du Marche - Antibes

A delicious, simple supper, sat outside in the market, whilst watching the world go by. We had snails, veal tagliatelle, moules frites, spaghetti carbonara and salad. All delicious, served swiftly be friendly and engaging staff.

Ordered curry moule. Couldn’t eat it because of way too much curry. Owner ignorer my complaint. Said it gave more flavour. Next time I eat my moules somewhere else

Simple place , seemed less touristic and less fashion than some restaurants in Nice, but a little cheaper for same quality and taste.

...the hustle and bustle of the market. Wonderful combination. I had an omelette and my wife the eggplant bruschetta. Both were very good. I only wish we had gone back for a dinner there as they were able to expand when the market closed.

Traveling with another couple, boys wanted moules for dinner. After slurping and sipping away determined they had great moules, better than a previous restaurant the day before. We started the dinner with escargot (done correctly) and a salade with salmon, both excellent. We had the...John Dory also done correctly, great flavor and a nice lemon sauce. The waiter was on the spot good and friendly dealing with our English version of French.
