Volkzeiner Hutte - Anras

The place is in an old farm, located in a lovely place. It is easily accessible by car but the beauty of the places deserves to get there with a walk leaving the car parked in the valley at least 4- 5 km before. you will arrive with a strong appetite and this will allow you to better appreciate how much you will be offered. the pride of the place are roasted pork ribs and giant sausage 50 cm long. I instead ate caneders of speck and barley soup, dozens and difficult digestion. excellent instead the typical local dessert, the sweet frittata of the emperor (kaiserschmarren) based on eggs, flour and contour of puree of apples and jam of red blueberries. correct and kind service though partly entrusted to two children. the menu is also in Italian. average prices.

At the end of Winkenltal the cottage is located in a beautiful environment. The building is a classic wooden construction of a few years, inside it is wood cladding all around. Food is good and the service is very friendly.

If you have reached this trattoria after 4/5 km walk, you will find yourself with an important hunger. I went specially to eat pork ribs that the restaurateur can cook imperially. potatoes and beer complete a dish that will make you come back.

If you want to live the true atmosphere of the Tyrolean valleys you have to try this typical refuge restaurant farm. the dirt road is a bit long but it will isolate you from the world and its rhythms. The most beautiful memories of my life pass from here.
