Wise Guys Two - Anniston

I've dined at Wiseguys twice when passing through Oxford—once a year ago and again recently. Both experiences were PHENOMENAL! The garlic knots were the perfect choice for an appetizer each time, and they did not disappoint. The pizza was also excellent; the hand-tossed crust was light, crispy, and flavorful. The toppings were fresh and generous. The service was friendly and attentive. If I'm ever back in town from Kansas, I will definitely stop by again!

The food and service were outstanding! Both the restaurant and the restroom were spotless. You absolutely have to try the garlic knots with cheese and bacon, as well as the Wiseguys pizza—they're definite must-haves!

I've ordered from Wise Guys before, and their Chicago-style pizza is fantastic! I’m a truck driver, and this time I had my order delivered to my truck behind the truck stop. I’ve had issues with other places not delivering to my truck, so when I checked my order status and saw it listed as closed, I got a bit worried. Confused, I thought they might not deliver to me after all. However, I called and spoke with Destiny, who was incredibly helpful and sweet. She clarified that there was no issue with the delivery; the closed status simply meant it didn't have to be re-entered in their system. This restaurant is wonderful, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves pizza. The Chicago-style pizza is truly amazing! Plus, they're very truck driver friendly, which is a nice bonus!

Three times here and LIEBE IT. It smells like AMAZING when you break the door. You only know that your belly is so happy. I'm on a medically necessary liquid diet, and the staff treats me with respect and courtesy and of course, a little shock) if I inform them I won't eat, but my fiancé becomes. You're so nice about it! Some servers have asked about my protein drinks, but NONE of them have asked me to throw it away or throw it out. Now for dinner. The glorious food. This menu is CRAZY BIG and you can find a piece of ANY KIND OF PIZZA YOU WANT. The menu is really easy to read, and it will definitely make you hungry just to look at them. The food I tasted was BRILLIANT. Really. Huge portions, moderate prices. Great.

Let me start by saying that the only reason i rated them 4 out of 5 stars is because the delivery service they choose to use (mymobilewaiter) is absolutely awful! My experience with them was one of the worst experiences I 've ever had with a delivery service. I was charged a $6 mandatory gratuity, as well as a $3 delivery fee and the prices were inflated on their website totalling nearly $20 in fees to get it delivered, to top that off I was quoted over 76 minutes to get food from a restaurant 3.0 miles from my home. After an hour our delivery time was delayed further. When we spoke with the driver we were informed that they picked up our food and instead of dropping it off at our house 3 miles away, went ALL THE WAY TO ANNISTON TO PICK UP AN ORDER PLACED AFTER OURS and deliver to them. I called the restaurant to confirm that it had been picked up and was told it had been picked up over half an hour ago, meaning our food was in this persons car for over half an hour while other patrons were prioritized ahead of us and would be stone cold by the time we got it. The owner was no help at all and they stopped answering our calls, so we left and decided to go get something else since they couldn 't handle a simple delivery. They wanted to charge us nearly $20 extra to get food delivered and then couldn 't even get it to us in a decent amount of time. With that being said, this time my sister and I decided to come into the restaurant and eat. I got The Gambino Calzone and my sister got The Meathead and we were not disappointed! The crust was rolled out thin and was very flavorful, the alfredo sauce with the mozzarella and spinach with meatballs in mine was a great combination and it was so big i could only eat half, I 'm having the other half for lunch today. Our server was friendly and quick to get to us, the orders were correct and you could tell they were made with fresh dough. All in all i will be back and will be happy to suggest to my guests at work where to go to get a delicious calzone and pizza, I 'll just tell them to avoid their delivery service.
