We'd found this place through the Entertainment book while looking for a mid-week suburban "date night" place and what a very pleasant surprise. The food was simple yet stunning, from the warm and more-ish sour-dough bread to our duck rillette entree, and both our mains - the lamb shanks was perfect for a winter's night and the prawn linguine was light yet with layers of beautiful flavours. We finished off with a faultless sticky date pudding. Well-priced with a very cute and warm ambience, we've found a new favourite and will be back!
We went to the Bistro after couple of months. We ordered 3 course meal. Both of us enjoyed the food.
Disappointed from start to end food came out way under cooked steak was blue asked for medium rare & the fish was raw in the middle. Had to go get dinner elsewhere it was that bad.
Booth Street Bistro at Annandale was a voucher I picked up as I've always wanted to try this restaurant.We started with cheese puffs which none of us really enjoyed, I thought they would be more cheesy than puffy and they were not.The chorizo was a good quality one and the oysters were good too, a little to big for my nieces liking but still tasty and creamy,I ordered the barramundi for main, Kylie ordered the pumpkin gnocchi and Cass and Kell both ordered the chilli garlic prawn linguine.The fish was fresh and cooked well, Kylies gnocchi was also tasty, I think the linguine was good as we didn't even get a look in from either girls and they cleaned their plate;)For dessert I ordered the chocolate fondant and so did Kylie, it was rich and delicious tho I wish we had shared it. The mango sorbet was nice tho a little bit icy.Kellie and Cassie both ordered the sticky date pudding and enjoyed it:)Overall a good meal, great service and nice ambience.Becca Bites
We visit this wonderful restaurant every time we go to Sydney. The food, atmosphere, wines, service -- everything -- is always superb! Steaks we're cooked perfect. For dessert on this last visit we had the Sticky date Pudding & Banoffe Pie. Wonderful!
