Westside Barbecue - Ann Arbor

Incredible BBQ setup that serves up fantastic food! The setup features impressive large smokers fueled by real cherry logs. Each smoker operates at different temperatures, ensuring the perfect bark on the beef brisket, pork shoulder, or ribs. The owner, Mateo, proudly showed us his facility, and it was spotless all around the BBQ grill, impressive given that they cook hundreds of pounds of meat every day. The staff is also very friendly. What a wonderful experience!

Delicious! The meat was incredibly tender and juicy, practically melting in my mouth. The mac and cheese were great as well, especially when paired with a bit of BBQ sauce. However, the claw was dry and not worth ordering. There are some indoor seats at a large communal table, as well as picnic tables outside. The staff was very friendly, and the service was quick. I would definitely recommend it!

This place is the real deal! I ordered the beef basket sandwich, and the service was excellent—my food arrived in just 3-5 minutes. I tried the brisket without barbecue sauce first, and it was incredibly tender with a great flavor and the perfect amount of fat. I didn’t even need to soak it in sauce. The sandwich was fantastic, and I was impressed by the generous portions! I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. It's definitely my favorite barbecue spot in Ann Arbor.

Great service and good food. we have the dirty rice with kielbasa, brisket and chicken and makkaroni and a brisket sandwich. the meat was really tasteful, delicate and juicy. the grill sauce was also very good, I can't expect to go back.

Just went here today and it’s sooo good! The flavor of the food is great, the beef brisket is SOOO tender/juicy/flavorful and the Mac and cheese was lovely. Excellent and quick customer service, prices reasonable, atmosphere and decorations are great. Would recommended it to everyone, and so far it’s the best BBQ place in Ann Arbor for me.
