Grumpy Goat Tavern Ankeny

This happened last year, probably around november maybe. at the arrival it took me over 20 minutes to get a place because each waitress and waitress concentrated on serving a group of 20 seems as if they thought they would produce more profit, and did not care for someone else. after this extremely long waiting and a questionable service best, it took them over half an hour to change for a $20 far longer than eating for me. most of my time here was to wait if that should have been easy to avoid. When I asked the waitress what was going on with you, she went back and forth after taking the 20, and told me absolutely nothing until I confronted her, she said she had to change what absolutely no information gives me, especially none that helps me. the food was also in the best case subpar, whereby the prices certainly do not correspond to the quality. All in all, I will not be back, and all ask to stay away from this place, if not for the terrible service, at least not to support the terrible people of a owner.

Absolutely wonderful time. visited for brunch before she went to home to missouri. they had a one-man band playing and he was absolutely delightful to hear during a turbulent Sunday about the breakfast at the brunch. they had a **** mary and mumosa bar. (can not remember the prices) and our waitress was very attentive to us as their customers. the food was so great and it was very hard to choose which breakfast I wanted because everything on the menu soouo sounded good. the damn mary should die. stop when you're in town.

I had the salmon club! it is one of the best things I put in my mouth! that was at the location ankeny. absolutely loved! we also had the buffalo flower-flower-appetizer! it was literally a meal, so good!

Delicious brunch and really good **** mary’s. they have a lot of fun breakfast drinks! great atmosphere. I had the chorizo biscuits and gravy and overall was very good. I asked about simple egg and it was much over cooked, but still tasted great. I will return definitiw as there were some great brunch options.

My mother came to visit her grandson so we went as a family trip. The food was great, prices were not, service was definitely there when it was needed and were treating us kindly. If I lived closer I would definitely go there more often.
