Patisserie Parfums sucres - Angoulême

I'm serious. Amazing cakes. The shop was closing so we bought the cakes and ate them in our car waiting for a rain storm to pass. It was a ballet in cake form. A symphony de gateaux. A Russian romance without the bitter ending. Try the creamy pistachio one. This is good cake.

We came here twice. It is a Patisserie with a packed window and interior displays. Upstairs (no lift) is a small restaurant/café which was quiet and cosy. We had omelette and frites (I've never had a bad omelette in France), smoked salmon salad, and then you can go downstairs and choose your dessert from the pastiisserie selection. The slab of Opera was delicious, that was why we went in! Excellent quick lunch, and we weren't disappinted on either occasion. We left with a nicely wrapped packet of biscuits for our hosts.

The coffee and cakes here are really good typically French and the sandwiches are always fresh although a little small in portions. The Patisserie is expensive but is lovely for a special place for coffee. They have a great selection of home made chocolates and gifts for easter xmas or just to treat someone. Their macaroons are to die for.

Patisserie situé dans le vieil Angoulème ,proche du palais de justice...déja la vitrine donne envie mais une fois à l'intèrieur on a du mal à faire son choix tout est bon...l'accueil et le service y est fait avec le sourire ....ll y a un salon intèrieur ou on peut déguster ou une petite terrasse en extèreur...
