Contribuiți la feedbackVisited this gem in Andriano tonight with my partner. We made a reservation (must during weekends because it's very popular). The gentleman and the younger man in the service were great, they were kind and they know what they are doing. Even though it was very crowded and over 30 degrees celcius, they worked so hard. The food was great and the location between the wine ranks was romantic. Will definetely return to this gem in Southern Tirol. Thank you team for making this a fantastic evening.
The restaurant is an old building very well preserved and the terrace is rustic, quite and beautiful. Great food, friendly hosts and awesome view perfect place for a dinner with family or friends!
Eat here but most definitely stay elsewhere. The restaurant is known to be good and it is. In summer dinner is enjoyed under vines in a pretty garden. In our opinion it is not geared up to be a hotel, it's more a restaurant with basic (gloomy) rooms priced at €90 B&B. We had hoped to stay 4 nights but we ended up having dinner just once and spending two unhappy nights here. Our next accommodation cost more but was truly wonderful and only half an hour’s drive away. June 2017 was record breakingly hot in Italy, so much so that posters in Bolzano warned of the Emergency and how to stay cool!!! We were shown a second floor room with a thick duvet each, on the bed and asked if we could have a top sheet instead? The duvets were removed and we were left with the duvet covers to use as a top sheet each! There was no mattress cover simply a square of cotton placed centrally. You could see the pattern of the mattress through the stretch fabric fitted sheet. The room had no air conditioning and they could not supply a fan. The dingy balcony was above a bar seating area and a road junction, which was busy with local traffic and the bus stop. There was a glazed door to the balcony but if you wanted quiet you had to shut this door and the room became stiflingly hot. (33C outside). On our second day flags, hanging from metal poles, were placed along the balcony. There was some sort of rod along the top of each flag and so as they moved there was constant banging when they hit pole. It was as though a blacksmith was at work with his hammer. After 3 hours and a bad headache, we asked if something could be done? We politely suggested a practical solution but to no avail, so we explained we would have to leave the following morning. Great kindness was shown to us by the son of the family, who carried all our boxes of wine to store their Cantina and brought it back when we left. He offered a gentle apology but really it is a most disagreeable place to stay and having moved elsewhere we realised how grim it was. Two nights B&B. One dinner about €276. (We regret staying here, those that follow our reviews see where we relocated to).
We stayed a week at the hotel and dined every evening at the restaurant under a magnificent pergola covered by the vines. excellent food and friendly staff. to try absolutely the fries with finferli, the roastbeef with mustard cream and superlative roasted figs with goat cheese and raw ham. sweet not to miss the kaiserschmarren. I put 5 stars because it is not possible to put 6!
Excellent dishes and service at adequate prices. I highly recommend it!
