The Cubby - Anchorage

The redesigned Cubby Café inside the Hotel Captain Cook is fantastic! Spacious, modern, and lots of natural light in this expanded space on the ground floor of the Hotel. There’s even a large conference table for those offsite coffee meetings with coworkers. The baristas make excellent drinks (and always piping hot) and there’s a growing variety of food options too. Highly recommend a visit whether you’re staying at the Hotel or not.

The Cubby is an excellent spot to unwind with a cup of coffee and a snack, all while taking in the cozy seating and views of the street. Situated in the Captain Cook Hotel near the elevators, it's a convenient stop. If you’re catching a bus, it’s worth grabbing a coffee and a cookie to enjoy on your journey. Just a heads up: if The Cubby is busy, you might experience a wait since there’s only one staff member at the checkout. Plan accordingly if you arrive during peak times. I’m enjoying what might be the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had (Northern Slope with reindeer sausage). I’m staying at the Captain Cook and stumbled upon The Cubby, which is located inside. I’ve found my go-to breakfast for every morning! ~Celeste from Kansas

Excellent selection of pre-prepared breakfast and lunch items, along with fantastic coffee drinks.

The breakfast burrito toasted is damn good.
