Ray's Place - Anchorage

Excellent food…great service…I would recommend this restaurant to everyone! And be sure to ask the owners about the mural picture…a true family experience!

We stopped in to Ray’s for dinner based on a recommendation. My dad had seafood curry and I went for the Halibut curry- seemed like a good choice since we were in Alaska. It was great! The sauce had a little kick but was not overwhelming. Halibut tasted fresh and went well with the curry, veggies and brown rice. I also tried the seafood curry and would give it a thumbs up as well. The staff was very conscientious and knowledgeable as well. If you have a chance stop by!

Legendary Asian Food! Ray's Place is popular with locals because the food is amazing, the staff is very friendly, your order is cooked promptly, the atmosphere is great for conversation, and the prices are very reasonable. The Shrimp Rolls appetizer was great. The Alaskan Salmon with Vietnamese sauce was legandary: perfectly cooked with a symphony of flavor. The Shrimp Curry was likewise legendary.

I came here because it was on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. I never actually even saw the episode but I googled which restaurants in town had been on the show and I was in the mood for oriental food. I asked what was on the show and they said the spicy chicken so that’s what I ordered, without even looking at the menu. Normally I don’t like spicy food, but this one was pretty dang good. It was right at the edge of what I like for spicy food but for most people, they would consider it pretty mild dish. Service was fast and friendly and even on a Friday night they were quick.

Featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. A small family owned place with absolutely delicious Vietnamese and Chinese home style cooking. We had just returned from China and this place was as good as anything we experienced in China. We tried a wide range of dishes and loved every one. Search this place out as it is worth the effort!
