Pil's Deli - Anchorage

We ordered a ham sandwich and a turkey sandwich, and they charged an extra $2 for adding meat to the sandwich. Both sandwiches were tasty and great for eating on the go. However, the muffin, which was wrapped in plastic, appeared to be from a Costco box and was a few days old. Overall, the prices were a bit high; we spent $30 for two sandwiches, a Costco muffin, and hot tea. The cleanliness of the facilities was questionable— it seemed like a small business that wasn’t very well maintained, and I noticed a renter poking their nose into the corner. At least the person who prepared the food didn’t wear gloves. Despite these issues, it’s a decent option for sandwiches on the street.

I grabbed a sandwich and a kombucha during my lunch break. After searching for a place that’s actually open at 2:30 p.m. (not a.m.!), I came across this charming little hole-in-the-wall and thought, why not? It’s small but really delightful! It’s definitely a grab-and-go spot; I’m now satisfied and the atmosphere was fantastic!

I went to this restaurant and found it lacking. There was a long wait, but there wasn’t enough space for everyone waiting, and people were smoking outside, leaving the door open, which let in the smell of smoke. The worker seemed disorganized; I had to remind her twice to make my breakfast sandwich, and she continued to serve others who had ordered after me. Overall, it wasn’t a pleasant experience.

I came across these old photos that I made during my stay in anchorage and wanted to say that I relax at this place as a great place and have a delicious breakfast sandwich, a coffee, other types of sandwiches and burritos, etc.

Small deli w 2 ladies. One cooking and the older one taking orders and payment. I ordered a club sandwich and waited and waited A customer came in after me and ordered his sandwich and the cook started to make that sandwich. I spoke up and said is she making my sandwich yet? The older lady snapped at me said yes then told me to go sit down! That’s when they started making my sandwich. How rude and unprofessional. Thank goodness I’m only a tourist here
