Pho Saigon - Anchorage

My husband and I had a hankering for pho. Many places were closed so we decided to give Pho Saigon a try. It was really good. We were not disappointed at all. In other reviews rude customer service was mentioned. They’re not rude. They’re busy! We thought the service was efficient and polite. Just because someone is direct it doesn’t mean they are being rude. We would definitely return and recommend to others.

Food was good but waiter did not move with any purpose, he let all the tables fill up with dishes and never checked on my table once. Just kept walking by my empty glasses and didn’t ask if we were ready to pay or needed to go boxes. Very disappointed will not be returning.Food: 4/5

We had not been here in awhile as our first experience was not like that good. First off this restaurant DOES NOT GIVE MILITARY DISCOUNT! This place would not survive if not for the military. The service was very slow. We waited 8 minutes before we got water or menus. Then we waited to give our order. The girls were on the phone the whole time. We felt very ignored. When the food finally arrived we were excited. The wings were very good. They were moist and had a lot of flavor. The spring rolls were good. They were fresh and the sauce was very good. The pho was alright. The price and the size were not right for me. The broth was bland. The drunk noodles were very dry. I did not enjoy very much. The meat was over cooked. The best part of the meal was the Thom Ka. It had good flavor and a good amount of meat andi⁹ mushrooms and meat. I would order again. I am not sure I will come here again. There are better and cheaper places in town.

The waitress was very helpful, she answered my questions about the food I wanted to ordered. She was so nice and it was also good to hear the workers laughing together. On another wonderful note, my daughter and I just finished our meal this evening, and a nice gentleman who was eating with his family went up to pay for his meal just before I did and he paid for our meal too! I couldn’t believe it, And the Mongolian beef was my daughters favorite!

I’m giving 3 stars because we ordered combination stir fry and it came with hardly any chicken, beef, and shrimp. I was hoping for more. The crab wontons were irregular shaped and just was tooooo crabby. And also was green on the inside. Blech ? but the rest of our food was tasty
