Luigi's Pizza Inc - Anchorage

We have spent several years searching for good pizza after moving to Alaska 5 years ago. Luigi's has finally won everyone over and we'll be ordering from them as long as we are living here.

Luigi's Pizza was located just around the corner from my hotel. Having just returned from a Homer fishing trip, self-catering, I needed a pizza fix! Luigi's fit the bill! I found the menu on-line and good reviews. I found Luigi's in a strip mall off of Arctic Blvd, close to airport. Walking up to the storefront, I noted there were at least 2 cars worth of people eating their pizza in their parking lot, and no doubt it was because of the pizza! I had thought they had a dining room, but there was only to-go carry-out ordering so I ordered my pepperoni pizza and waited. I also ordered a green salad and my whole meal was ready in 10 minutes. I spoke to the owner and you could tell he was passionate about his cooking, and he took the time to explain how to prepare a nice salad to go to his kitchen staff. I could tell he took a lot of pride in his pizza! I got my order back to my hotel room and had a wonderful feast! The salad was a really nice assortment of vegetables and lettuce and a nice homemade vinegarette. The pizza was perfectly cooked, with a wonderful tender crust, the kind that has bits of blistering from the hot pizza oven. No greasy pizza here folks, it was perfect!!! The sauce was flavorful, obviously homemade with plenty of toppings and the cheese was gooey with great flavored pepperoni! Plain and simple, this was a delicious pizza, cost was very affordable, and overall I would highly recommend Luigi's pizza carry-out!

5.00 medium cheese or pepperoni pizza. Decent pizza and cheapest meal we found in alaska. No website but menu found online call and pick up.

You'll never find a better value for your money than Luigi's $5 pick up. Great for a quick bite and our kids love having their own pie! At $5 a pie you can't beat this place. Quick pick up and friendly service too.

Very nice guy, I recommend if you like Italian subs or pizza with a lot of dough, my Philly cheesesteak was awesome order it with extra meat. My pizza was ok but too much dough for me, I would rather have a thin crust, but the dough was tasty, like a pretzel. Great delivery.
