The calamari was excellent and the dipping sauce was a nice balance of spice, acid, and smoothness from the mayo. The alfredo was also great. However, the lasagna was good, but not great. The veggies were chopped (I had hoped for long slices) and the Bolognese was a bit overwhelming. Overall, decent lasagna.
We had the set menu that gave us tickets to the “preferred” area for the “World of Color” water show. The starter salad and main course of salmon was fine. Perhaps the salmon could have come with cooked vegetables rather than a bitterish rocket salad. Unfortunately the tiramisù desert was poor the chocolate layer on top was too thick and the layers tasted more of cake rather than biscuit. And it was accompanied by chocolate sauce, a biscotti biscuit and strawberries. Unusual.
This is a nice restaurant. Waiter service was good and efficient even though the restaurant was full. We had the three course meal tied to preferred seating for World of Colour. Dinner cost USD 59 per person, plus tax and tip. Starter was either house salad or soup of the day which was minestrone soup. I had the house salad which was tasty, and both sweet and sour. The sour taste was due to vinegar while the sweet taste was provided by sweet strawberries and a pink salad dressing. A few choices were available for the main course, but there was a USD 10 additional charge for steak. I had pan fried salmon for my main course which was tasty and cooked well. The boiled potatoes were also tasty and not too soft. However, the rocket salad did not go with the rest of the dish. It was slightly bitter. Dessert was tiramisu. There was no choice here. The tiramisu did not have any brandy in it, and was served with chocolate sauce and chocolate flakes plus a thick layer of chocolate powder, plus strawberry and a biscotti biscuit with hard icing a strange combination with tiramisu, but I enjoyed it. Shame about the lack of brandy which would have enhanced the taste of the tiramisu. Soda or tea was included in the price of the drink.
For those with infants, there are no changing tables here. According to staff members, you have to walk all the way to the restrooms by Ariel. BUT ACTUALLY the child care center is right across the way, so just go there. ?Cocktails are decent but pricey. I recommend the sangria.Rib eye steak is absolutely over cooked. If you want medium, you need to order rare. Not an exaggeration. Got a well cooked steak when I ordered medium rare. See pics.
We have eaten at many Italian restaurants and were looking forward to a great meal at this beautiful restaurant in California Adventure. How disappointing our experience was beginning with service being very slow waited for at least half an hour before we got our sodas. When we finally got our entrees our spaghetti bolognese was an appetizer sized portion served in a large bowl with an additional charge for 2 tasteless, poor quality meatballs that were def not handmade nor cooked in a pan, but straight out of a freezer heated! We talked to the manager, who nicely comped those dishes, but we hope that the chef mgt addresses these issues. For the prices that were charged make it a dinner portion and make meatballs from scratch.
