Original Pancake House - Anaheim

If possible, remember to add yourself to the Yelp waitlist before you arrive (we unfortunately forgot to do this). We had to wait 90 minutes on a Sunday because the restaurant was extremely busy and the parking lot was packed. Once we ordered, we got sourdough pancakes, silver dollar pancakes, eggs, sausages, bacon, and hash browns (which were genuine hash browns, not just home fries). My husband devoured his food quickly, while I packed mine since we had to hurry to Disneyland by 2:15. The hash browns were excellent, and I made sure to generously butter my pancakes before putting them away. The takeaway containers were great—sturdy plastic that won't collapse like some other boxes do. I reheated my meal in the convection oven later.

We returned after 20 years, having frequented this place back in the '80s, and it was wonderful! We loved everything, especially the cozy atmosphere reminiscent of a little echo chamber. While we missed the lobby and the fireplace, I understand that they needed to expand. The parking situation is a bit limited, so we waited around 30 minutes, but it was definitely worth it.

I visited this restaurant for the first time and I highly recommend it! Definitely use the waiting list on their website to save time. Otherwise, be prepared for a long wait; we ended up waiting about 2 hours, but it was reduced to around 30 minutes. As for the food, it was delicious and worth the price. The flapjacks were soft, and the whipped butter and syrup made them even better. The hashbrowns were crispy, and overall, I felt very satisfied by the end of the meal.

Great food! The Omelet was a 5/5 and also the pancakes. The staff was super nice and it was even someone's birthday. I will be coming back

This restaurant is unique, food is outstanding. Servers are great but I specific person is Jesus he is awesome, smart and friendly joy at this restaurant. I highly recommend it
