Not lying. one of the most disappointing smoking places I was and I was a lot). the first time I had it, I remember that it tastes super salty but not tasteful. When I came back the other day, my partner and I decided to share one, as we were looking for and again, the broth was less fun and the noodles were understated: in addition, the piece is char sui they give you so sad, thin and small. I like that they use compostable to go containers, but their suppening bowl is not deep enough to fit everything. for the price they pay and the amount they receive is not worth it. I appreciate the fact that the worker is trying the best, but the service was super slow. it took 30 minutes to get our food. they must have more people in the layer. total, quite subpar.
Gyoza was very good and would get again. The shrimp tempura was good. But that were the good ended. The 2 rolls orange tei and double tuna roll were not good at all. Grocery store sushi would probably be a better choice than the sushi here.
Ehhhh. Not a fan of the ramen here. We ordered tonkotsu shoyu ramen. Taste was subpar. Portion was hella SMALL. You'll be hungry after eating your bowl of ramen. The pork slices it came with were so thin and skinny. Probably about 2.5 inches long each and so thin. Literally not even enough protein in this bowl it's kind of sad. Ramen itself was also a small portion. Do yourself a favor and go to an actual ramen spot. For the price you pay, it's not worth the amount of food. Next.
Orange Tei has been at Packing House since it opened, because I came here waaaayyy back in the early days. Last month I finally got around to trying it. Given the fast rotation of some other businesses I'm kind of surprised it has survived this long; the food is average tasting. We ordered a ramen and chicken karaage. Neither dish tasted bad, but they did not look like or taste like traditional ramen or karaage as we have had it at authentic Japanese restaurants, even the casual ones. I rarely see OT bustling, so if they'd like to continue competing for attention they could make some changes to food presentation. What we got looked nothing like the pictures.
