The Shrimp Shack - Anacortes

Not sure where my last review went......when we were there it was very cold in the restaurant. Many people were wearing their coats. Asked if they could close at least 1 of the doors, he said he'll check with the manager. Well, doors never closed. Service was slow.....Food was tasty but could've been much hotter. I'll try here again and hope everything is much better.

Had the fish and chips special of the day. Very good and nice high quality halibut. Fries were well cooked and flavorful. Thought the price was a bit spendy but they do have other options from both land and sea as the menu puts it. Lots of choices of food and will definitely be back to try other items. The seating is all outdoor which would be nicer if they had an indoor option but it is covered and with heaters. I would suggest they do something better with the trash cans as they 're just open next to all the seating. Its a bit like going to your uncle 's back yard bbq as far as seating area but i guess thats what makes this an area icon with everyone in the region knowing about The Shrimp Shack.

This was my first time at the restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. I returned on 12/13/2023 specifically for the oyster burger, which was delicious. I also enjoyed some more oysters, which were equally tasty. The shrimp was great as well. The service was impeccable.

We got food to take back to our condo from here. Everything we got was delicious. The best seafood in town, in our opinion.

This restaurant is adorable! It's perfect for a large family with diverse tastes. The chowder was outstanding, possibly the best I've had on the West Coast. The fried oysters were impeccable and even those who don't normally like seafood enjoyed them. For fish tacos, I recommend going with the fried option over the grilled - they were amazing!
