Contribuiți la feedbackWARNING! Not worth the money what so ever!! The restaurant was completely empty which should have tipped us off but since we were hungry we stayed. When our 'starter for two ' arrived, we got something that looked like 6 turds on a plate. It didn 't taste much better and we left right after. You are way better off going to the snack shop across the street. Left with a feeling of disappointment and nausea i hope this warning will reach you before you eat at Alfonso 's. It is sadly the worst food I 've ever had in Amsterdam.
I don't like writing bad reviews, but this place is just kind of a joke. One of the only places in all of Amsterdam that I've ever eaten where I feel like they're trying to overcharge tourists for food that just isn't that good. Take my advice and stay away. So many great places to grab food in Amsterdam. Let Yelp guide you...
Didn't expect to see a Mexican restaurant in Amsterdam. We were in the square on a Sunday around 17:00. The shops were closing and many restaurants weren't open. We were starving so we decided to give it a try. Our server seemed to be the owner. He was very attentive and helpful. We sat in the back and it was relatively private and comfortable. We had tacos and a chimichanga. The chips and salsa seem store bought. The guacamole isn't guacamole. I'm not sure what it is- maybe sour cream with an avocado powder mix? Has corn and olives? Idk. It was just bad. Don't order it- see photo. Tacos were okay. The chicken chimichanga was delicious. I was disappointed that it didn't come with any sauce but it was still yummy. The beans and rice aren't traditional Mexican beans and rice. It was interesting to see how Holland does Mexican. I might go back for a chimichanga and gin/tonic. (They were out of Mexican b
Delicious, as close as you can get to Mexican food in Europe. The staff was very friendly, and the food was quick to come out, and well made. We had the shrimp fajitas, and the guacamole. The prices for alcohol weren't too bad either, and they have a full bar. It is located on a clean, safe street, and the are open for lunch and dinner. I will definitely come back here when I came back to Amsterdam!
I don't know what type of food this is but it's definitely not Mexican. My fiancé order the chicken quesadilla which was two tortillas with chicken on the inside and a small center of melted cheese on the outside. The margarita came with a lemon not a lime. The bottle of water on the table which we assumed was free tap water turned out to be a 4,50€ there was no sign. If you are looking for Mexican food in Amsterdam keep looking, I recommend Cabron which was much better.
