Grand Trunk - Amritsar

The Grand Trunk is the primary restaurant of the 5 star Taj hotel in Amritsar. The place is beautifully decorated and the staff is always polite and considerate. The open kitchen lets you enjoy the chefs doing their work. The food selection is typical North Indian along with some items thrown in for the mix. The dishes are well prepared, flavorful and visually appealing. Quality is obviously top notch. First thing you do when you land in india is to tantalise your taste buds .. I wanted to celebrate my sister bday hence wanted to try the evening buffet .. less veg options and the quality of food was bad .. on top of it evening restaurant manager was bit weird .. he even stopped us at the door and pressurised us to return an ice cream cup .. my nephew had to leave his ice cream .. bad buffet for the price we paid Food: 1 Service: 2

The Taj Delhi was way more great experience than taj swarna amritsar... the food at taj swarna was OK but service was really drastic.. we waited 1 hr for the food .. and they didn't even clear the table after we had finished the soup.. we had to call them to clear the dishes... not up to the mark..
