We enjoyed a calm Sunday lunch on the terrace. The "Ficelle Picarde" traditional crepe was very good, served with a fresh salad. I was a little disappointed by my Alsacian crepe, as there was way too much onions and close to nothing in terms of cheese. My partner tried the Chevre-miel (goat cheese, almond and honey) crepe and it was delicious. We also tried a honey cider and was a good surprise. The lady serving us was very nice and smiled to us.Affordable prices.
Whilst the Crepe was a little over done it was good and taste. It was delivered fast and was hot. We enjoyed the visit and it was a good filler for lunch.
Title says it all. If it hadn't been for the charcoal which was supposed to be crispy bacon (lardons) then actually it may have been a tasty salad chevre chaud, at the right price. But come on. How hard can it be. Avoid this place, the owner just doesn't deserve it.
Waited a long time to be served. My wife and I ordered the exact same crepe/galette but they came out different colours! My wife's was a much darker colour, bordering on burnt. The fillings were generous but, call me a philistine, I wanted some ketchup. The waitress looked at me like I had just asked her to bring me a human baby to eat. Let's be serious here, I'm not going to ask a waitress at Le Gavroche to bring me some ketchup, but when I'm eating a cheese and ham crepe at an informal quay side eaterie, a little ketchup is a nice thing. She shook her head and I swear she wanted to ask me to leave. Anyway, the crepes were average and I shall not be returning.
