Canton House Restaurant - Amherstburg

I have been eating Chinese food at this restaurant for as long as I can remember, so I may be biased. However, if you are looking for simple, delicious, and affordable Chinese food, this is the place to go.

I tried the new Canton Inn last night and ordered the steak kow combination for takeout.

I visited this restaurant after 5 years (had moved away) and unfortunately, it seems that the food quality has changed for the worse.

The owners retired and now there are only two spots in Amherstburg for Chinese Food - The Ruby King, which has been in town forever and nobody seems to go there - and the Golden Gate Chinese Food restaurant which is under new management and has good food.

The staff have always been friendly to me, my family and I enjoy their food, and the 5% off for cash is a nice touch. We often get the Dinner for Two or Dinner for Three and feel the portions are reasonable. Generally get takeout from this place every couple of months.
